"The archetypical renegade Texas Ranger wages war against a drug kingpin with automatic weapons, his wits and martial arts after a gun battle leaves his partner dead. All of this inevitably culminates a martial arts showdown between the drug lord and the ranger, and involving the woman they both love. (IMDb)
This is a great Chuck "J.J. McQuade" Norris action movie. It was directed by Steve Carver who did another Norris flick called An Eye for an Eye in 1981. I also like his college tennis T&A movie Jocks (1986).
Lone Wolf McQuade
The co-stars are the sleazy and lazy David Carradine, ultra hot Barbara Carrera, cop buddies Leon Isaac Kennedy, Robert Beltran and L.Q. Jones, plus very cute Dana Kimmell (Friday 3, Sweet Sixteen) as McQuade´s daughter Sally.
Chuck and the girls
There´s lots of gunfights, shooting and explosions. Of course Chuck uses his fists too and we can see his trademark kicks.
I like the epic, Morricone style score composed by Francesco De Masi.
Norris credits this film as a leading inspiration for his hit television series, Walker, Texas Ranger, which premiered a decade later.
This is a good vintage Norris flick and i highly recommend it. And remember guys, if you´re gonna throw a party, McQuade only drinks Pearl beer

One that's so over the top you can't help but love it. I recall Caradine had something in his contract that stipulated he couldn't be shown getting fairly beaten on camera.

Devolution here,
Left a major mark on me as a child, the underground jeep scene made me buy the movie by itself.
We are DEVO

Haha, that scene was pure wtf?! Perhaps the Pearl beer shower made him do that
My fav Chuck Norris flick is a toss up between this and Silent Rage. I've seen Lone Wolf at least 20 times as a kid when we had the movie station that played the movies over and over.....I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!
