Wondering if anyone knows the name of a martial arts film about a guy whose relatives or the like are murdered, and then he goes through lot of martial arts training in an obscure person. Believe it is to compete in martial arts for illegal clubs, or for revenge. The man who trains up the main character is black and sits in a chair quite often. The main character must include carry around on the coach when he sits in his chair, as part of strength training. Twist at the end is that the coach is in fact the murderer from the beginning of the film. - It's about the little I remember ..

It almost sounds like the 1993 Billy Blanks movie "Showdown"...not sure if that's it though..
