i think it was a horror movie from the 80s. this guy was listening to headphones and singing truckin by grateful dead. thats all i remember

Can you remember any other details to help us?

Try the movie "Into The Homeland" from 1987 with C. Thomas Howell.. I can't quite recall the headphones scene.. but I know the song is used in the film. Not a horror movie though.
