Yeah, this is another Italian post-apocalyptic action flick. It was just released here on dvd and features again the dynamic duo Michael Sopkiw/George Eastman. Sopkiw looks like a rock star and Eastman is.. well he´s Big Ape The female leads are Anna Kanakis ( The New Barbarians) and Valentine Monnier, very beautiful ladies. The movie was directed by Sergio Martino.

It´s a very good Escape from New York rip-off including some Mad Max II themes as well. Violent action, cool characters and a great synth score. Gotta love it!

This is indeed the most entertaining of the post-apocalypse Escape from New-York / Mad Max rip-offs by far ! Yes, it may be cheesy.. but it's also highly enjoyable from start to finish.
The first time i saw this was somewhere around 1987.. It was kinda hard to find in the 90's.. and eventually turned up on dvd in 2003 in a razor-sharp transfer courtesy of US dvd-label Shriek Show.
And the funny thing is, i like this one as much today as i did almost 25 years ago.. and i'm sure i'm not the only one !
