I am looking for the title a movie (most probably it was made for tv) from the early 80's with the following plot :
A group of terrorists install a timer-based nuclear bomb on the top of a skyscraper in Sydney Australia . They ask a large amount of money from the australian government to deactivate the bomb.
In the mean a reporter comes across evidence of the plot and teams up with few people to find out more ( another female journalist i think , and a nerdy computer guy).
The terrorists receive their money but their plane crashes (by multiple bird strike ) before they have a chance to deactivate the bomb.
The only way now the nuclear bomb can be found and deactivated is if the reporter and his friends can find out enough.

Getting Even has a similiar plot but this takes place in Dallas, Texas.

Ok, now i found it. It was not Getting Even.

..Deadline.. (1982) is what you are looking for and yes, it´s a tv-flick.

It was released in Finland on VHS back in the day.
