No, no ,no. This is not a beach flick although it includes few beach scenes. This is a story about two teen tennis players Karen K.C. Castle and Missy Berryman (Carling Bassett and Shawn Foltz) Karen is a "poor" gal from Vegas who has a hot showgirl mother Stevie (Susan Anton, 2nd runner-up Miss America in 1969) and Missy is a rich girl who really wants to be a ballet dancer. They meet at the N.A.T.A. Junior Nationals and become friends but everything never goes as planned.
Ultra hot Susan Anton who also sings in the movie
The soundtrack is pretty cool and you can hear stuff like Pat Benatar (Hit Me With Your Best Shot), Loverboy (Turn Me Loose) and two AOR-guru Paul Sabu penned disco tunes sung by Barbara Law.
Nice tennis scenes (the girls can play), a beach party, disco scene, male strippers...
Movie sponsors: Pepsi and Fila.
Here´s the Finnish VHS cover art which is of course the legendary 70s poster Tennis Girl
Nice little flick!

Here's some trivia for you aTomiK: This film was the ill-fated vanity project to manufacture a film career for Canadian tennis champ Carling Bassett. Bassett, while cute and obviously a great tennis player, couldn't act; thus, her film career was stillborn with this film. Oh, on that unusual first name...she's named for her grandfather, John Carling, who ran Carling Brewery. Even after all these years, they still brew the infamous Carling Black Label, an extremely popular beer in some parts of the world, I'm told, though I've always thought that it was pure sewer water. Poor young woman! Named after a crappy beer! LOL I've seen this film, and I doubt that Ms. Bassett likes to be reminded of it.

I´ve seen so many movies, especially from the b-side of the fence so i thought that she was not bad at all.
