I remember a scene where there being a sort of stone crypt holding an alien. On top it there is a stone which I believe glows green. A man tries to touch it and the stone severely hurts his hand. My brother says he remembers two aliens sitting in chairs that someone turns around and that the aliens appear to be dead. I always think of The Police song: King of Pain because of the line: "There's a little black spot on the sun today" and I don't know if the actual song came out in the movie or I just made a connection to it because the movie mentions a "black spot on the sun". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like Time Walker and is sometimes called Being from Another Planet, from 1982.

No worries at all. I am glad I could help. Between all the members on this site their is a massive collaborative knowledge of movies and not just from the 80's. Most of the time I have not got a clue on the movie title, but luckily this time I could come up with the goods. I would say that 9/10 times somebody on this site will be able to help with a movie title, and usually if they can't it is because there just isn't quite enough info.
Anyway, I am glad I could help out and encourage you to keep posting and sharing your love and knowledge of movies as well.
