I found some characters unlikeable and im talking about the good guys. But what about the badies, the slashers, the evil, cunning, scheming, bad dudes that for some reason you enjoyed watching. No matter how many times i watch Big Trouble in Little China, i cant help but feel sorry for the three storms...they were just so cool and i thought no way could wang beat that guy in a sword fight no matter what was in Eg's six demon bag. He was kick a55. David Lopan was likeable for me but now im just jealous a guy 2000yrs old can get two girls with green eyes. What bad guys did you like?

Toe-Cutter from Mad Max. For a man to run a motley crew like he had, he himself would have to have been craziest of the lot.

Biff Tannen. He's every school bully who ever lived.
"What are you looking at butthead?"
Johnny Lawrence. Was he really bad, or just ****ed that some Iti-punk was making moves on 'his' girl?
Haha that was awsome Logan . . . i thought chad Mcqueen was pretty awsome in KK

How about Chet!
I still kind of liked his awfulness and he was kind of funny?
Edit:
Just looked at your list link Logan....and Chet's on the bottom along with an almost identical picture to mine.....cool list!

I have to mention these two SOBīs:
Nick Cassavetes/Packard Walsh was a cool bad guy in The Wraith.
Rutger Hauer/John Ryder was plain evil in The Hitcher.

I'm very surprised nobody has yet mentioned the ultimate bad guy.....
Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber in Die Hard was the very epitome of how to be a great baddie. He was never unnecessarily vicious, he was always polite, pleasant, and even funny. He never really ever lost control of himself, even though the situation was getting away from him near the end. And this in some ways made him badder, because there was nothing emotional about his behaviour, it was all well thought out and logical. Very unlike Alexander Gudenov's Karl, who was all emotion and anger, and logical thought never got a look in.

It just occurred to me how few people would recognize all the baddies on this list. That made me sad. Then of course, I realised that we all know them - and that made me glad!

I forget sometimes that this movie is in the 80s...not sure why, maybe its a bit of a timeless movie . . .meaning, there isnt really a lot in it which says hey im an 80s movie. maybe its because of the sequels ??? Not sure, but either way you are right about Hans being the ULTIMATE BAD GUY! Surely he has to be in the top 3. Love the the reasoning behind it...cool under pressure, unemotional, calculating, polite . . . yeah hed have to be my pick of the bunch mentioned so far.

some excellent bad dudes in here so far guys, anyone want to try some bad dudettes??

Obviously Alex Forrest. For the younger crowds, Ursula certainly qualifies. And depending if Gozer is in fact female in its most familiar pre-chosen form, I think she/it/whatever can be included.

That was a half-crooked smile you gave there! You are Sigourney Weaver!
Speaking of which - how great is she? I thought she was brilliant in Working Girl. She's a star in every sense of the word... a little like you, Muff

Sigourney was great! her character I don't think would have been AS awful without her.....man when she's laying on the bed in her cast and ordering Tess around..........she's just so belittling and mean..............you know what.....i'm soooooooooooo nice.......haha

I'm gonna have to go with Alan Rickman as Hans in Die Hard. Probably the best villan ever. Great performance in a great movie!!!
I read somewhere that Die Hard was his first movie role ever. He sure knew how to make an entrance!!

Outstanding choices all, gang. Baddies are usually more interesting than good guys/gals, in my humble opinion. Take a look at the range of some of the folks named here, for example: Rutger Hauer in "The Hitcher"--This would be a part that so many would have overplayed and lapsed into parody. (After all, John Ryder is kind of like the shark in "Jaws"; he just keeps coming back and coming back.). Yet Hauer is so brilliant and nuanced that he's truly frightening. Look at the scene where Howell picks him up, and he's going on and on about "gas station"..."cigarettes"..."cigarettes are good"... It never feels like acting, more like you are in the presence of a true lunatic.
Alan Rickman in "Die Hard"--Here's a consummate actor taking a well-written villain part and making it even better. Defying expectations, Rickman is polite, urbane, witty, intelligent, stylish, and cool, not to mention scarily violent when he needs to be. He's the best Bond villain a Bond movie never had.
James Spader in any bad guy part--Spader, a cindymancini favorite, delights because he's a fine actor with great range, compare him as good guys in "Storyville" and "White Castle" to "Pretty in Pink" and "The New Kids." No one personifies "80's yuppie scum" in movies better than Spader.
Sigourney Weaver in "Working Girl"--a really belieavable baddie. I know people exactly like her character--officious, backstabbing, duplicitous corporate offal. And they are extremely dangerous, maybe even moreso than Rutger Hauer... :-)
