OK..this is where I'm going to swallow my manhood and admit to being a complete and sissified weeper to sad movies. Well, not all of them. Just the good ones. And since I've been in a sentimental place lately and watching quite a few of these movies, I'd like to hear of some of your favorite tearjerker films. And also some suggestions for ones you think I should check out. Here's a few examples of flicks that always make me misty-eyed to give you an idea of what I'm looking for:
MASK: I don't think I really need to delve into much of an explanation on this one. It's just such an epic and dramatic movie. And you can't help but feel for everything Rocky has to endure in this movie. Still among my top favorite tearjerkers.
BENJI THE HUNTED: This film is guaranteed to pull at the heart-strings of any animal lover. And, since I'm one, it does just that for me everytime. And I'm always weeping like a baby by the end.
BEACHES: I never hear the end of it from my macho friends for this one. Basically, this is about as "chick-flicky" as chick flicks get. But I've always enjoyed this movie from the very first time I saw it in the theatres. It's got a great balance of humor, light-heartedness, and drama throughout the entire movie. And if you allow yourself to get swept into this movie, you will be crying by the end.
ALWAYS: This is among my all-time favorite Richard Dreyfuss movies. The story is so gripping and one can't but feel a connection for just about every character in this movie. At least that's how it is for me. This movie is probably one of the best examples of learning the lesson of losing love and moving on with life.
THE BOY WHO COULD FLY: There's a few funny moments in this film that will make you chuckle. But below the surface this is a very dramatic and deep movie about broken families and the sudden deaths within them that causes mental illness and emotional pain. But thankfully, the sweet and innocent infatuation between Milly & Eric serves as the main premise of the film and diverts the attention away from these tragedies for the most part. And it's this sweetness in the film that bring happy tears instead of painful ones.
So OK...there's a few of my top picks...let's hear some of yours.

"Without A Trace" - I've seen this movie a dozen times...the ending has me crying every single time.
"MASK" - I know already mentioned, but I think everybody cries at the end of this story.
" Mississippi Burning" - An emotional drama with some intense and sad parts.
"Of Mice and Men" - I know not 80's, but I always shed tears for this one.
Ummmm....I love football...GO BEARS GO!

Out of Africa - now this film didn't make me cry but it made me feel like crying in pain at having to sit in a cinema as a 12 year old and watch it.What made it worse was Back to the Future was on next door but none of the family wanted to see it.

I don't have functioning tear ducts..... or maybe im just too cool for school
But I can't really cry over movies, music or anything actually. It's not some macho thing, cuz I can certainly get a lump in my throat, but it never goes beyond that. And even that occurs only once in a blue moon. What's wrong with me....
Im a devoid of sentiment and human emotion.... am I dead inside...??!!

The one that always gets me is Field of Dreams. I guess growing up having a big connection with baseball and my dad.....man what a great last scene.
"Hey Dad.....you wanna have a catch"
Gets me just thinking about it right now!
Guys, if you rarely get choaked up, and you are a dog lover (or pet lover), I don't see how Marley and Me can't make you lose it. Great movie but I don't think I can watch it again! (sorry to get off the 80's topic but that one is rough)
