I was watching Once Bitten and loved love loved.....the dance off between the Countess and Robin to "Hands Off"
You know 80's movies are filled with great dance sequences in movies you wouldn't expect a dance sequence???
So what are some of your favorite randoms?.....out of place?......goofball? cheesy songs??
I STILL have "hands off......he belongs to me" in my head lol

Eddie Keaton's Breakdancing in "Making the Grade"
Morgan and Frankie warehouse dance in "Tuff Turf"

"When Ted Met Elaine" from Airplane; the dancing actually does come off quite well despite the sheer lunacy of the situation.

Send Me an Angel from Rad, for the win!
Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :
goresnet.. I agree that the bike stunts to "Send Me Angel" were quite awesome.
The crazy dance scene to "Music That You Can Dance To" by Sparks needs to mentioned as well.

I remember a scene with Jon Cryer in "Morgan Stewart's Coming Home", where he discovers he has fallen in love and prances around his home!
And how can you not mention Tom Cruise strutting to Bob Seger in "Risky Business"?

There's nothing random about today's movies - doesn't everyone join in whenever the clock gets to seventeen minutes and twelve seconds since the last musical montage? I thought that was compulsory these days......

Mannequin was chock full of classic montages!
Posted by Bamersy (Member # 8808) on :
I keep thinking about the montage in The Sweetest Thing-not an 80's movie though........

Did I miss it? Where are all the fans of "Top Secret"?
Back to the original posting. Muffy.. the school dance with "Hands Off" was my fav part of "Once Bitten".

Hi, I'm new here, but I thought of a funny random dance. How about Crispin Glover in Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter?
Hahaha, that was a good link, DangerousThunder. Welcome to the rewind!

I had to stop in the middle of watching Iron Eagle to point out when Lou Gossett jr. kicks the jukebox and starts grooving to James Brown and shakes his butt back and forth totally funny makes you just love his character!
Posted by Shannon80sfan (Member # 8491) on :
Don't forget about this one from Doctor Detroit. James Brown and all!
Posted by cindymancini (Member # 679) on :
I can't believe no one mentioned the dance scene in Breakfast Club!!! I still get a chill when I see Molly dancing & spinning up on that little balcony in the library with her preppy Ralph Lauren looking outfit and knee high leather boots! It's perfect!

Devolution here,
To quote a great movie...
"Not everybody can cha cha cha, not everybody can do the twist, but everybody can do the ska it's the new dance you can't resist."

I'm gonna have to second this one as being one of the best ...still makes me laugh whenever I watch it
Posted by Secret Admirer (Member # 3574) on :
Yeah, but that is a dance movie and this thread is about non-dance movies. Disqualified! Thanks for playing. Better luck next time
(But oh god I love Back to the Beach! Soooo good!)
Posted by Devolution (Member # 1731) on :
Devolution here,
Back to the beach is not a dance movie. Songs sung by the cast make it possibly a surf movie that's about it.

Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on :
Devo.. I think Secret Admirer was disqualifying "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" as a dance with death movie. So you are safe to going back to the beach to play with Lori Loughlin.
