A woman (Madsen) goes to previously all-male boarding school on a scholarship.
She begins to separate herself from her boyfriend in order to devote more time to her new environment.
Over a course of time she notices that more and more students have lost their individuality,
and approach their activities in a lifeless and automatic manner.
Eventually a diabolical plot fostered by the faculty begins to emerge. (from IMDb)

Zombie High is pretty good and entertaining not your average Zombie flick.
Starring Virginia Madsen, Sherilyn Fenn, James Wilder, Richard Cox, Scott Coffey and Paul Feig.

I can understand why people donīt talk much about this one because itīs nowhere near a classic.
Still, that doesnīt mean i didnīt enjoy it.

Someone on the IMDB said that pretty much everything done on the film was done by USC film students,
so it's no wonder that the end result is not too professional.
But hey, itīs doesnīt look bad at all!

The soundtrack features couple of good tunes
but they were made only for this movie so you canīt find those anywhere.

Give this one a chance, after all it includes two lovely foxes Madsen and Fenn.

I never heard of this movie before, but it certainly looks very interesting. You can't really go wrong with Madsen en Fenn in one movie.

Where do you keep finding all these obscure movies?
My best find so far is a near mint copy of Deadly Friend and that's it.

As I'm not a big fan of eBay, it's about time I start visiting some flea markets..

Iīve been hunting Zombie High for a few years
and finally found this UK ex-rental tape from an eBay like site here in Finland.

Gotta have all 80s Madsen and Fenn flicks,
still missing few, mostly tv-movies [Cool]

By no means a great movie, but for an 80's fan it is worth watching if you are into comedy/horror. Very low budget and amateur looking at times. Great cast with Virginia Madsen, Sherilyn Fenn, and look for SKOW's Scott Coffey as well.

One of the guys that developed the script has gone to scribe for shows like.. Roseanne, Ellen, and Big Bang Theory.

Great writeup and pics aTomiK!

This is another one I haven't been able to get though. Yes, I got it a few years ago because of Madsen, but watched Slam Dance in it's entirety instead of this.

oooooooh SlamDance is one I watched all of too....I remember liking it for the art and it was unique.

The Cinema Group people have the right idea; you've got Virgina Madsen in a zombie movie, put her on the cover for goodness sake! Virginna Madsen and undead preppy guy: Good cover. Vestron Video; what were you thinking? no one wants to see some old geezer on the cover...

So, this movie; none of you one seem to like it, is the NY Times verdict of "Entertaining" that far off the mark? Will have to seek it out sometime.

This really is a pretty lame movie (and I like everything!). But I do have a few good laughs about it, so it's not totally useless. And what's with that hilariously bad Beastie Boys rip-off song at the end, "Kiss My Butt"? -
