I'm trying to remember this 80s movie about a small town guy who goes to a big city to buy a new car. He walks into an exotic car dealer and gets con into buying a red lamborhgini that falls apart moments after driving off the lot. The guy breaks into the same dealer to get another one. Does anyone know who the actor and/or the movies is?

The movie you seek is "It Takes Two" with George Newbern. Best known probably for the movies "Father of the Bride" and "Adventures In Babysitting".
