This is a hidden gem of 80's movies in my opinion. Remember when Judd Nelson was cool even after getting pushed into a water fountain or doing a little breakdancing?
This movie is worth watching even just to hear names like Palmer Woodrow, Muffy Newhouse, Bif Hamilton, and Tracey Hoover.
I love when Eddie and Tracey are sitting in the dark reading the fortune cookie .. especially Tracey's response. Jonna Lee was awesome in this flick.
My favorite character is still Coach Wordman though...with lines like "OMG...No, no, I'm not enrolled in this course, I'm only auditing."
Preppy for life?
"But Tracey I just bought the new Neil Diamond tape." So funny, but of course I've heard that lines like that from Bif Hamilton still work on Earth Angel...right?
I realize not everyone is a fan of Andrew Dice Clay, but his character fit in great in "Making The Grade". And his John Travolta impersonation during the party was hilarious.
If you've never seen "Making The Grade" .. go find it!

Loved this one for years. Love the roles of Lee, Nelson and Diceman. Still quote the Woodrow Palmer stuff every now and then.

Fantastic movie!
I have a question though:
Why do you guys delete old threads and make new ones? Is this a common policy from now on?
Just tried to find the old Making the Grade thread and it was deleted like some other ones...

Shhhh! Don't talk to loud! The walls have teeth! We don't mention 'the disappeared' around here! The mods aren't like you and me... they're different. They sit in rooms surrounded by hundreds of monitors listening to everything we say. We have to talk quietly in code or else they...
Oh no! They've found us!

Do you really delete topics? why for?
I think Making the Grade is totally underrated. I watch this a couple times a year and always have a laugh. Great characters and soundtrack.

Hmm, it all makes sense now. I have racked my brain in the past looking for some old topics that I thought must have been my fault. Now I understand I wasn't going crazy.
