Does anyone remember a Christmas Carol sequel where the Spirits return to Ebenezer Scrooge because he became too generous?
I'm starting to think I dreamt this up, but I vaguely recalling seeing it in the late 80s.

There's a couple of possibilities.
Firstly, there was an episode of George Burns Comedy Week where Scrooge is being taken advantage of by the town, and they get him to stop being a dope. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0587060/
The other possibility is, of course, Blackadder's Christmas Carol, where he turns from the nicest man in London, to the meanest man in all England.
