I know, this is NOT a Sci-Fi, but a Drama. :-(
It involves, as I said, a terribly ill, brown and curly-haired young man, forced to permanently live in a room protected by glass. But, when he meets THE girl of his dreams, he is needed to leave his highly protected environment just to be with her; he dies.

P.S. Oh!, yeah, they "make love" against the glass wall, and his ending sequence phrase, when he meets her out-doors, is: "I'm not a ghost!" :-P

Any ideas?

Could also have been "Crystal Heart" from 1987-ish starring Lee Curreri (Bruno in Kids From Fame) and Tawny Kitaen. Very similar plot-line [Smile]

Yes definitely Crystal Heart, cos in Boy in a Plastic Bubble they don't make love and we don't know whether or not he died in the end.
