There is a kid in it (male) who I believe is a street kid or homeless, and he wears a long jacket that is hand-painted. At some point he gets beat up in an alley for the jacket.

Hello. Not sure if this is what your lookin for but in Rocky 5, Rockys son is walkin home from school wearin a long trench type coat when 2 kids drag him into an alley, beat him up, and take his coat. Cant remember if it was hand painted or anything tho. But similar storys at the very least.
