I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread so that people could inform others of when 80's movies will be on tv. That way more of us can hopefully catch them and enjoy the movies.
First addition to this thread is Mystic Pizza.
It is on Monday, Aug 3rd, at 7pm (cdt), on AMC.

Good thread GG!
I actually had already set my DVR for Funny Farm on Encore. Watched a little bit of it earlier. This is a somewhat forgotten one, but funny and a simple pleasure. Long live Yellow Dog!

Thanks Earl! Ya, I hope everyone will join in and if they know a movie is coming up, just post it on here. That way people will have a heads up.
Ya, I love this movie for it's simplicity. Makes me want to move to VT!

River's Edge (1986)
The nude, strangled body of a teenaged girl lies on the edge of the river. Her murderer is her boyfriend, Sampson (Daniel Roebuck), known by his friends as John. All the kids in the dismal, dead-end town know who committed the murder. The trouble is, no one bothers to turn Sampson in; some of the teens don't know how to react to the crime, while others, strung out on drugs and booze, just don't give a damn. A study of contemporary alienation, River's Edge was based on a real-life incident that occurred in Milpitas, California, in 1981. Co-stars Keanu Reeves, Ione Skye, Crispin Glover, Joshua Miller and Dennis Hopper.

All The Right Moves
A Pennsylvania steel-town high-school coach (Craig T. Nelson) tries to spoil a football hero's (Tom Cruise) scholarship dream.
Wed. Aug 19th, 7.30 pm on FMC (ch. 258 on Directv)
Great movie, kind of on the darker side. Good one to watch with football starting up just about everywhere in the country. Also, the theme song to this movie is a dandy! Love it.
