I think these guys are two of the worst film critics ever, but they are at least fun to watch!

I didn´t remember that i have this until today. Well i watched it and it was quite good.
Nice acting by the stars (especially Dillon) and some great locations. Kinda slow at times but that doesn´t bother me.

Yeah, Sammy, I was thinking they meant Kansas the band too! But anyhoo, I bought this movie a while ago. I'd say I'd give it 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. Good acting, but it was kind of slow moving in parts. It was kind of cool to see Andrew McCarthy and Matt Dillon together in a small town set.

Kyra Sedgwick and Matt Dillon were later reteamed in Singles (1992), which of course was written as well as directed by Cameron Crowe.

"Kansas" (1988) is a decent film, and is one of the many underrated & obscure '80's flicks that I was completely unaware of when it was released to theaters.
The storyline involves Andrew McCarthy befriending the Matt Dillon character while both hitched a ride on a train; McCarthy was on his way to a wedding, and the Dillon character(as it came out later) was a small-time criminal.
Good scenery of small-town Americana here as well.
"Kansas" is definitely more along the lines of the indy film(s) that became a lot more prevalent in the '90's...
