OK, there was a professor type, invented things. There was a river that ran by his house, and one day it was gone, and he had to convince it to flow again. I think it was scared... Then there was something that was taking big cubes of water out of the oceans (without them collapsing and filling in), and his house turned into a submarine so he could investigate. Something along those lines anyway! Anyone have any ideas?
