Well Robert Zemeckis is her ex-husband so her being in Romancing the Stone, Back to the Future Part II, Amazing Stories and Tales from the Crypt is not really surprising as he was her director in all of those instances.

She certainly didn't play a STARRING role in any of these films, Die Hard, Romancing the Stone....Back To The Future 2? Who was she...???

No, she's been a supporting character in nearly everything she's ever done. The one instance I can think of where she played the lead was in the pilot episode of Tales from the Crypt (directed by Zemeckis) called "And All Through the House" where she played a woman who murders her husband on Christmas Eve and tries to stage it to look like an accident, but gets the tables turned on her when she crosses paths with a psychotic killer dressed as Santa.

I know I always thought it was funny that she was in Die Hard and Lethal Weapon-they have alot of similarities to them to me. She always seems like she's out in left field in all the movies she is in.
In Lethal Weapon she plays the psychiatrist......she kind of seemed like she needed therapy herself.

She sure was in a lot of stuff. I was having trouble placing who she playedin Die Hard, then I looked it up and it hit me, she was the Newscaster woman. She was definitely a definitive character actress in the 80s. On a side note I think that Robert Zemeckis is married to a soft porn actress. I was a little shocked by that.

Yeah, she was Sean and Phoebe's mom in the Monster Squad. The ep of Tales from the Crypt she was in, And All Through the House, is one of my favorites.

She is one of those under the radar actresses that, despite not being that recognizable, has a solid cv, and yes, being married to Zemeckis probably didn't hurt either!
