I'm looking for a movie, I'm hoping that it's an 80's flick. The mother dies (don't know where the father is) and the kids all pack themselves up to find their uncle. Turns out he isn't actually related to the family but the parents had just refered to him as the uncle. He isn't prepared to take in the kids...he has a bratty child of his own. I remember a scene in a stable where one kid slams to other onto the ground and tried to shove his face into a pile of manure. HELP!

I'm trying to remember any other details about this movie...comming up blank. I think the mom dies of cancer.
