They had to have come out in the 80's and need to be primarily "sports" centered. But the entire movie doesn't have to have sports action. My picks..
Eight Men Out The Natural Major League Everybody's All American Bull Durham
I would have put Youngblood in there too, but the parts without the hockey action are sooo bad that I couldn't add it to my list.

ROCKY III- Clubber Lang... Nuff said!
ROCKY IV- Sly wins the cold war... in the ring, pure 80's.
YOUNGBLOOD- If for nothing else, then for Keanu's French accent!
KARATE KID- although the fight scenes are atrocious, the story, the philosophy, the cheesy training scenes, and the build up is good!
NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER- The complete opposite of Karate kid, bad story, cheesy acting, Bruce Lee's ghost etc. But Cory Yuens Fight choreo is awesome!
THRASHIN'- The best skater movie ever made!
WINNERS TAKE ALL- Cool dirt biking, bad acting... love it!
RAD- This is why I got a BMX bike back in '86! Soon coming on DVD, or so I've heard!

Well, I cannot think of any other golfing movies from the 80's! (other than the sequel!)

Devolution here,
Caddyshack is awesome. Rodney Dangerfield is totally classic.
I love hoosiers, and do we count American Anthem as a sports movie or no?
Decisions, Decisions.

Karate Kid is my favorite one.
All the Right Moves is great as well...
What the heck, I'll also say Teen Wolf, if only for that awesomely campy "big game" montage at the end. ("Wiiiiin in the end!")

One film that I forgot to include earlier, and IMHO, it's one of the best sports movies ever, and one of the best movies from the 80's, period!
"Raging Bull" (1980)
For some reason, I cannot understand why that one doesn't seem to get mentioned among the great sports movies! Maybe it's because it has a downbeat ending? Or that it's too real?

My all time 80's sports movie would have to be R.A.D. BMX may not have been considered a sport then, but it sure it now!
