As I said in this post, I'm touring Arizona and California visiting some of the locations I've always wanted to go to.
I've just spent a very enjoyable week in Tucson visiting the locations for "Can't buy me love" and "The Wraith" and am currently just south of the Grand Canyon in Prescott, AZ, having just visited the lake used in "The Raft" segment of "Creepshow 2" -- remember where the black, floating slime eats the teenagers who have been swimming over to a raft in a small, isolated lake? A simply inspired location and one that I've always wondered about
Hope everyone's ok and I'll look forward to sharing more upon my return

Hi Nick
Sounds great, I've always wanted to visit filming locations from my favorite 80's movies, your so lucky.
Any chance of any pics being posted of some of the locations you have visited?
Anyway enjoy the rest of your trip.

Cool beans Nick. If you're ever in Nashville, TN. I can show you the old prison where part of The Last Castle and some other movies was filmed.

Hey, thanks everyone
We did see some way cool stuff in AZ.
Since then, I've visited the "Starlite Starbrite" trailer park from "Last Starfighter" and the weird concrete "dishes" in Cherry 2000 where he reminisces about cherry while Melanie sleeps in the car (always loved the look of that place) and that huge pit that Lester pushes that white truck into
Oh, and one of the two bridges used in the Lost Boys for when Michael is initiated and desperately tries to hang on while the train goes over...
I'm currently in Santa Barbara, travelling up the coast of CA... Next movie stop is Santa Cruz and "Michael... Michael..."

This is too cool, please post pics of your attempts to initiate yourself into the vampire order Jason Patric style. I remember the raft well, thought they did a decent job in adapting that from the 'Skeleton Crew' anthology.

I am greener than the Hulk with envy (at least my purple trousers are still in one piece though. Oh wait ... spoke too soon).
Can't wait to see the fruits of your 'labour' Nick. Sounds like you had a blast.

Thanks guys, it was great
And for any of you "Can't Buy Me Love" fans out there, I was in Cindy Mancini's house and bedroom... And it hasn't changed one bit!
It was all part of the build-up for the new locations features at the site.
