Now, I'm not talking about 80s porn flicks...so get it out of your head!
What are, in your opinion, the best love scenes (which includes make outs, kissing and you know...) of the 80s based on all or one of these: -pop culture signifigance -intensity -sweetness (the "Awww..." factor) -or any other reason you creative people can come up with. (:
For me it's: Dirty Dancing-Baby and Johnny in his room dancing/undressing
Pretty In Pink-The end of course!!!

I would have to say that it's another scene from that movie, where Watts is 'checking' that Keith can deliver the kiss that kills.
It's all the more intense, because you know what's going on in her mind, and you know this is the start of his feelings for her being understood......

evilash,
I like the scene at the end of Secret Admirer when they, Michael (C. Thomas Howell), and, Toni (Lori Loughlin), both jump into the water and swim toward each other so they can FINALLY kiss. Honestly, I would have chosen Toni over Deborah (Kelly Preston) any day...

Well, as far as a kissing scene, I think it is Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald at the end of "Breakfast Club". Lots of anticipation and it was slow and sweet, then she just leaves him standing there with her earring.
Overall makeout/love/sex scene has to be Kevin Costner and Susan Surandon in "Bull Durham". In the bathtub, on the table when he pushes everything onto the floor, even the scene when he paints her toes while she's tied to the bed. All of it is HOT!

I have two favorites:
The 16 CANDLES table kiss
And the SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL finale

Stacey and Damone in the pool house...JUST KIDDING!!! Yikes!
All of the above mentioned are great! I totally agree with the choices.
I will say St. Elmo's Fire had some moments... -When Kirby surprises Dale and lays a kiss on her outside by his car. -When Kevin confesses his love to Leslie and they start making out. That was intense!
Also, About Last Night...come on Rob Lowe and Demi Moore in a bathtub...HOT!
Modern Girls...the first kiss between Ceecee and Bruno X...gives me the chills everytime !

Dirty Dancing at the end when johnny gets baby and they dance in front of everybody. "nobody puts baby in the corner" classic!

Cindy, you are right! I totally forgot about Kirby's kiss on Dale! That is one of the great ones from 80's movies. I love the look on her face afterwards right before her boyfriend takes their picture.
Another good one I failed to mention was John Travolta and Debra Winger's first kiss on the dance floor of Gilley's in "Urban Cowboy". Long and passionate.

Well I guess Some Kind of Wonderful wins!!! I haven't seen St. Elmo's Fire in a while. Guess I'll put in on the queue. Don't forget all the elevator and kitchen sink scenes in Fatal Attraction!
