Posted by jdocster04 (Member # 5752) on :
Muffy,
I just got it in themail. I'll watch it this weekend. A little trivia for you:
It was filmed in Lawrence Kansas which is about 40 miles from Kansas City, Missouri. It's a college town (The University on Kansas or KU) and it looks perfect for this movie.

I bought it around 3-4 years ago because of Michelle Meyrink. It was cute, but not a lot stands out. Will have to watch it again.

Can anyone help me find the name of a movie?
A teenage boy lives next door to a girl that is killed. His dad works for a funeral home/Mortuary that was experimenting in bringing people back to life. He and a friend take her body and actually brings her back. He is in love with her and she becomes all stiff, Rigamortis etc. I think she even ends up killing her dad. It was a very cheesy movie but nobody believes that this movie exists. It is older but I think early 1980's maybe?

Devolution here,
This movie is Deadly Friend I believe, I could be wrong but I don't think I am, Kristy Swanson when she was not married = good movie.

I meant to ask this a long time ago.........this is the back of my VHS right and seriously is that scene on the top left in the movie? is it a flashback i'm not aware of? it's been driving me crazy? anyone??
Posted by cindymancini (Member # 679) on :
I think I need to revisit this movie !! Haven't seen it in at least 3 yrs. Wouldn't it be nice to have a DVD version? Hmmm, one can dream...
Posted by aTomiK (Member # 6575) on :
Muffy, that scene is NOT in the movie.
I watched Nice Girls... yesterday and i liked it. Funny movie, like Muffy said, it has that John Waters weirdness.
Meyrink was awesome and very cute. Why her career was so short? I already own almost all of her movies. Only missing a tv-movie called Tonight´s the Night and some Christmas flick.
Damn i hated her mother , great performance from Barbara Harris.
That "snack bar" short movie in the beginning of the flick was also pretty funny.

Atomik!! thanks I knew it! I needed someone else to verify.....weird eh? looks like I'll never know why now? it's not like my vhs is gonna be worth lots of money because of it hahahaha
I'm really glad you liked it Atomik it's become one of my favorites!
Cindy you better revisit it and get back to us....

cindy, it is on DVD, in the UK, I've had the disc for years now.
Thanks Wizard!! I'm not sure my if my DVD player is region free, if it is, you best believe I'm going to try and track this down!!
Posted by The Wizard (Member # 533) on :
The DVD is region free so it'll play on any player, but the player & TV must be able to handle PAL footage. Your PC should have no problems playing it.
