I was young when I saw it. 80's horror/scary kids monster movie??? I remember a scene with a kid and a satellite dish in the backyard? maybe a transmitter of some sort....can't be sure. Perhaps some digging in the backyard? Maybe even a couple of kids.
Any help would be great.

Follow up question? Perhaps their were monsters or aliens creatures of some sort.

Not 100% sure but sounds like THE GATE check it out & select it from the menu to the left!
