In the latest poll released last night, Raging Bull had the best showing, moving all the way up to #4 (that's ahead of Lawrence of Arabia and The Wizard of Oz, for perspective). Also making the list were:
-E.T. at #24 -Raiders of the Lost Ark at #66 -Tootsie at #69 -Platoon at #86 -Sophie's Choice at #91 -Do the Right Thing at #96 -Blade Runner at #97
Right now the AFI seems uncertain as to whether there'll be future countdown specials (I say go right ahead, since they still seem to be pulling in big ratings, and there's still a lot of ground they haven't covered--best directors, best family films, best instrumental scores among others), but they will continue revising this main list every decade.

They need to do an AFI countdown per decade. That would be cool. There are so many great 80s films it would be so hard to pick the best ones. For me up at the top would have to be Terms of Endearment and The Color Purple.
