Okay, just saw this movie for the first time... the end totally wrecked me! I mean, even the next day I wasn't right. That last scene in the hospital was emotional enough and then when I heard Kate Bush start singing "This Woman's Work" with her haunting voice, I about lost it.
My boyfriend and I were watching it together and we were both reduced to tears. Damn you John Hughes...I wasn't prepared for this. I'm used to the Donger and Uncle Buck okay? Can't handle all those feelings...and the question remains, was it a good movie? I guess so, I just won't ever watch it and abuse myself like that again ...
