I remember a movie I saw as a kid and cannot remember the name of it. It was about a young girl, maybe 12, 13, 14, but she has a friend that is a lower class and the friend has an older brother. He is like 16 or 17. The girl has a crush on the older brother and when he tries to make a move on her she holds back and he gets mad and pretty much calls her a baby. I remember her trying on like red lipstick and going home to a "brownstone" type home where she has a younger brother. I also remember her going to confession, but that maybe she isn't Catholic. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

OLD ENOUGH. I think it was early 80s. Raindbow Harvest...a ringer for Winona Ryder...was the "poor girl". The "other girl" went to a snooty priveleged private school and would pass the other girl at the bus stop. Somehow the two girls end up being friends. The poor girl teaches the rich one to shop lift and try on make up and such. Good movie. I know they used to play it on IFC a lot.
