I was watching the bonus features on the new Pretty In Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful DVD's and during the one interview with John Hughes, I hear him say that the woman who played Molly Ringwald's mother in Sixteen Candles, suggested that he meet her daughter, Mary Stuart Masterson.
I was like wait a minute, Brenda Baker is Watt's mother in real life!?! I just think that is crazy. I love when there are all these little random connections between movies and actors I enjoy. So there you go, I thought that was a decent piece of trivia !
