Upon graduation from high school eight teens take a seaplane trip, intending to celebrate on Keith's parents' private island. Stormy weather causes the plane to crash and they end up on a deserted isle. They find evidence of other visitors, and soon must fend for their lives against drug smugglers.
I remember that this flick started out promising, but kind of crumbled as they thwarted the drug smugglers. Any thoughts...it had Betsy Russell in it, so that helps!

I actually just watched this cause Isis let me borrow it! I burned it to dvd too which is cool cause now I'll have it to watch whenever I want ! I liked this movie. I didn't think Betsy Russell looked that pretty in it and her acting didn't set the world on fire either. Is it me or was she just awesome in Private School and nothing else has come close? All in all, the storyline was good and I thought the cast was cool. Sherilyn Fenn was in it! I'm on a kick with her lately. I recommend this movie. It's definitely worth a once see.

It has been forever since I have seen this one. I think that the first time that I got to watch it was on HBO late one night. I have had a hard time finding it anywhere. Is it on DVD? I wish it would wind up in the cheap bin at Wal-Mart!

I always wanted to see this one, on account of Russell and it is Fenn's film debut I think.

Hey Cindy, To answer your question from two years ago....I agree that if you had to name one Betsy Russell movie that defined her, it had to be "Private School".
There is a great interview with Betsy on the Gregory Mantell Show (her interview begins at the 10 minute mark). I'm not sure about the interviewer and how he got his own show, but Betsy gave a great interview and insight to where she's been since the 80's.
