So, I'm remembering this movie from the 80s but I can't think of the name for the life of me. You guys here are pros so here's what I can remember:

A kid fighting against bullies on his block by rigging up his hotwheels with gadgets/traps.

Some dude flying around at the end and a chick all about him.

This movie was kind of a suburban teen flick or something.

Thanks!

It's gotta be "The Boy Who Could Fly"

with a little Fred Savage on his hotwheel! Has to be! [Smile]

Devolution here,

What is all this thinking?

It's could only be the boy who could fly.

I never understood the importance of the crying in the rain scene with Savage.

Wasn't the guy in that film the same guy who played a human looking robot in some other film. All I remember is he took the SAT's in like 2 minutes and got a perfect score. I think he graduates at the end of the movie.

You're thinking of Jay Underwood and the movie "Not Quite Human". That ran a lot on the Disney Channel back in the late 80s...I liked it, but I actually preferred the old Disney cartoons and the specials that they would run.

That's something to talk about. I really miss the old days of the Disney Channel. The cartoons were really enjoyable and I also liked the live-action shows like "Kids Incorporated" and "Danger Bay". I'd like to see reruns of those shows back on the air, considering that I need to refresh my memory about "Danger Bay".

Sincerely,

John Kilduff

He did 3 of those films-for-tv, "Not Quite Human", "Not Quite Human 2" and "Still Not Quite Human" of which I have the first two on VHS and very much enjoyed so must get round to getting the 3rd.

Yeah, those things ought to be put on DVD. Maybe I can convince Disney to do it...hope they still have the tapes of those shows! [Smile]

Don't forget the Edison Twins too; I sort of like that one.
