My husband and I were talking the other day about how cool The Goonies movie is, still to this day. However, if it were made today, there would be no Goonies movie. The kids would find a map, then one kid would say, "Hey, my dad's got a new GPS- I'll go get it" Then they look up on the GPS where they think the treasure is, then that's that. No adventure, no being terrorized by the Fratellis, no danger.

Oh this is so hilarious. If this would have been made nowadays it wouldn't have been near as good that is for sure! This was a cool observation for this movie.

I doubt they would of got that far. It would be like "wow, a piece of paper, now lets go and play playstation all day".

Yeah...I don't think the Goonies would work in this day and age. Like someone said, they'd go back to playing their video games. I doubt if they'd get off the couch to even look at the piece of paper unless it had cheats on it! I'm glad the Goonies was made in the 80s, cause I thoroughly enjoy it!!
