After seeing Hot Dog...the movie on DVD (R1), I felt that some scenes had been cut out, so I checked my old VHS tape (released in Spain some years ago) and it was true, 2 scenes were missing.
The first one is when Sunny gets back with Harkin. He is in his room alone, playing the guitar again, and Sunny comes back. As the movie is right now, it has no sense, they split, and after that she is cheering him on the slopes as if nothing happened...
The second one is at the end of the movie, when Harkin gets the cup, Rudi Garmisch says to him (I am translating from the dubbed version so it will probably differ from original): “...don’t be so sure Harkin Banks, we’ll meet again in Hot Dog 2”
Does anyone have any idea why they cut that out?

Why in the world would they cut a scene for a DVD release???? That doesn't make any sense. Maybe someone fell asleep when they were editing the DVD version and they hit the delete button when those two scenes came up! Hey it is just a thought...

Don't know man, but the scenes are not there. I guess they took the last one as there won't be a sequel (sniff, I hate to admit that...), but for the other one, the guy is singing a song! Maybe music rights?

You gotta be kidding me? Like Jess said, they should be adding scenes to DVD's like they did in Explorers, not cutting stuff. I'm thankful I didn't didn't buy the DVD, and I have a VHS in really good condition. Was there a Hot Do 2? They probably delelted that line if there wasn't one.
I onder if they did this kind of thing to the Making the Grade DVD which I don't have, because at the end near the credits they say don't forget to see Palmer Woodrow in the sequel Tourista, whichh never happened. Anyone know?
