Hi there, i'm new to all this but what brought me here is a film from my memory that i cannot put a name to...... It was a high school film (and my memory is a tad hazy on this) where 1 or more kids got special powers, and the bit i remember most was 1 guy had lightning coming out of his hands and he was putting his hands on electric generaators to charge himself up, and was attacking the army(??) whilst Johnny be Good was playing.
I hope someone out there knows what film this is......any help would be gratefully appreciated.

You're talking about the pilot episode of "The Misfits of Science" tv series starring Courtney Cox, the pilot was released as a film on VHS which I have but have never seen the other episodes though.
edit: just remembered, if you ever manage to watch it again see if you can spot the piece of footage they lifted from The Blues Brothers
