With all the attention the "Sex And The Movies" Thread has been getting in the Rewind Social Club, I thought it would be only fitting to try to stir up some conversation on the 80's Movie Board.

So with that said, what 80's Movies and Why, do you think about first when the word,

SEX is mentioned?

For me, the movie "Private School" pops into my mind. Maybe it was Bubba's Quest to conquer the beautiful Jordan or maybe it was the awkwardness of Jim and Christine's first time at the awful hotel. Wait I know the answer, it was the fact that some gorgeous chick came riding toward me barechested on a horse's back when I was in highschool. [Eek!]

DRUGS are Mentioned?

I totally think of the movie "Fast Times At Ridgemont High". Spicoli made being a stoner cool, which might not be the best thing ya know. Sean Penn created a character that would live forever as the essence of "Hey Bud Let's Party". When they rolled out of that van, you knew that "People on Ludes should not Drive!"

ROCK & ROLL is mentioned?

Can you say "This Is Spinal Tap". This movie was about a fictitious Rock & Roll Band that played out like a documentary of 80's bands. It became a cult following in later years.

My second choice would be "Risky Business" when Joel is dancing around to the song "Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger. But that brings us back to me in my underwear, so I don't think we need to go there again. But did I mention that Chicks really dig me because I rarely wear underwear? [Razz] [Wink]

So what 80's movies do think about when those words are brought up?

For me....

SEX= The Last American Virgin and Hardbodies

DRUGS= Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke"

Rock N Roll= Streets of Fire
