I watched it last night, and I found a website... I am not sure if it has ever been posted before....but anyone who loves the movie might want to check it out:
Louisa Moritz that played Carmella in The Last American Virgin went to Yale. That was a shocker.
I looked her up to see how old she was...cause she was down right nasty in that movie...ick...and she was only 36 in the movie. I thought she was about 45.
It said she was also in the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but I can not remember her at all from that movie.
Steve Antin- was a stunt breakdancer in both Breakin movies.

Here's the thing I don't understand about The Last American Virgin. There are several things that are just "wrong" with this movie, yet I still hold it dear as an underated 80's classic. The first thing goes along with what Isis said. Carmella was a little old looking in my opinion. The hooker in the movie was soooo nasty, I can't even put it into words. That scene is painful to watch. Finally, the whole "the guy who's got the biggest tool, wins the pool" scene is a mind scrambler!! What were the writers thinking? If I were a dude, I would never participate in such an activity! It was just plain weird!
But I do like the music. It's outstanding. The clothes are great!! And the main characters are likable. You really feel for Gary at the end.

I felt like Gary was going to commit suicide in the end!
I cannot believe that that woman was on 36! She definately was hard looking. I have heard that guys don't care what something looks like, I guess that would be an example of that!
I still do not think I have ever sit down and watched the show from start to finish. I have seen it from like 15 minutes on, or bits and pieces of the end a few times. It is just one of those that I never could get into for some reason, maybe because it was supposed to be a slapstick thing, but then the sad thing at the end really threw me off!

I had the MGM/UA big box VHS of this movie (having picked it up at a flea market a few years ago). I never viewed it, though...I had been meaning to, but after the ending was spoiled for me I decided I couldn't watch it.
Sincerely,

John...you should watch it anyway. It is packed with the 80's...the clothes, and the soundtrack is in the top 5 movie soundtracks...in my opinion.
But...It scares me...like Jessica and Cindy said too...that hooker is totally nasty...I think that is her only movie role...thank goodness. But, if you run and throw up after having sex with someone...that looked like that, and who totally repulsed you...and where there was no actual emotion involved at all...what were they thinking they were doing?? They were all gung-ho to have sex...but when it came down to doing it...it made them throw up. So...where is there any kind of enjoyment in something like that? That's the #1 reason that I can not understand people's fascination with sex...especially the way it is portrayed on TV. Like Nip & Tuck...how on earth do you have more than one person together...and not feel disgusting about yourself? To me...all of it should be romantic...and just be about you and the person that you love...and that is what makes for great sex...if you are just doing that to just "do it" then you are missing out. And they got crabs in the movie...and kind of made that a joke...but I think it is really scary...what you can get from sex...and all those things don't seem to cross anyone's mind in this day and age. I totally fear for my son...when he gets older...what girls are going to be like. I only knew very few girls in high school who weren't virgins. And they ended up pregnant...just like the movie. So...it is really realistic. The sad part is...that in 20 years ...with everything people know...kids still get pregnant at 16 and 17, and younger.
