Ok so since i'm sitting her watching ghost I thought it might be fun to list some movies that made you cry. Sorry if this topic has been done before. So here are some films that made me have a little bawlfest

TERMS OF ENDEARMENT and E.T. were sob fests for me. The only movie to come anywhere near topping it in tear fall was TITANIC (90s).
MIDNIGHT COWBOY (60s) and ICE CASTLES (70s) are good weepies too.

I really got into the characters, and then the ending just slammed me. Still upsets me now, even though I know it's coming.

Seriously, though, "Beaches" gets me a little misty. I also cry a little whenever I watch "The Little Mermaid" and hear Ariel (Jodi Benson) sing "Part Of Your World".

STAND BY ME is an obvious choice; it really captures the rite of passage that boys go through. however, the main one for me personally is ROCKY IV - the 'Hearts on Fire' training sequence, ending with Balboa standing on top of the mountain screaming "DRAGOOO!!!" I cry everytime, it's brilliant.

Oh Brandon- I was just thinking of My Dog Skip. I do not cry at movies- I guess it's just me- I know that they're not real life. But I watched My Dog Skip right after I got out of the hospital in 2000, and I cried at the end! My husband was like "Hey, are you crying?" and I said "No, I got something in my eye!" and we both laughed our asses off! I guess if I watched Mask again, I would probably cry at the end. It was a really sad story. I heard the real life Rusty is still a mess to this day, and she is in her 60's now.

It doesn't matter if you're male or female, big or small, strong or weak, My Dog Skip will make tears flow out of anyone's eyes. If one doesn't shed a tear during that movie, they have absolutely no emotion at all.

Yup...and "Skip" looked just like my childhood dog. I cryed my *** off when the kid buried him wrapped in his baseball jacket.

Mask - yes it certainly is an emotional movie. It's a fantastic film.
Lucas - I have sen it but can't really remember it, but I'll take it as a prompting to watch it again.
The Boy Who Could Fly - It's a tear jerker in places. One of my favourite childhood films.
Terms of Endearment - tried watching it when I was about 16 an d almost vomited (no offense).
Rain Man - Doesn't make me feel teary eyed but it's a great movie. If I had a brother like Rain Man, we would be hanging out at the casino all day every day.
I can't think of anything fresh at the moment but if I do I'll be sure to post.
Actually:
La Bamba: I won't say what happens for those who have not seen it but there is that one scene that rips my heart out no matter how many times I watch it. I can't believe Esai Morales never made it big. His performance was one of the best I have seen.

Rain Man kinda got me at the end as Tom Cruise had actually got emotionally attached to his brother only to see him be taken back to the hospital..again it was another case of a good soundtrack and great performances by the cast that got me really hooked with the whole scenario.
Did laugh at your comment of Terms of Endearment, took me a 2nd viewing to get past that stage lol

Rain Man is a great movie that's for sure. Ricky Gervais talks about it in one of his shows. He said that he volunteered to take care of a kid because he had autism with the intention of going straight to the casino. After a number of lost hands, Ricky pulls him aside to test whether he has the Rain Man knack. He throws down some toothpicks and says:
Ricky: "How many toothpicks are on the floor?"
Autistic kid: "I dunno."
Ricky: "There's 7, I mean I can see there's seven from here."
That made me cry with laughter, that's for sure.
I dunno if I can force myself to watch Terms of Endearment again. It was too punishing.

I posted this on another thread about crying-mine's 70's with The Champ. I was pretty young, but I'm sure if I saw it today it would be the same.
