I went to Walmart today to buy some laundry detergent, and I came across their movie section. I know they always have 80s flicks for under $10, but I found so many for only $5 today!
I bought; Trading Places All Of Me LA Story (which I believe is actually 90, I think) 48 Hours Another 48 Hours Short Circuit All three Naked Gun movies The Golden Child Top Secret
I have all of these on VHS, but it was so nice to get them all on DVD for such a great price!
There were tons more that I wanted to get, but I only had so much cash on me and there were other things that I needed!
Anyway, I love great bargains!

Neat-o. Cheap movies are always great--That's the good thing about liking older movies. They get cheaper after so long.

"L.A Story" is from 1991.
"Another 48 HRS" was released in 1990.
The two "Naked Gun" sequels were released in 1991 and 1994, respectively.
Discounting those non-80s titles, it seems like you came across a pretty good batch of movies.
I work at Wal-Mart and I often find myself browsing the $5.50 section. I've picked up some pretty good titles...I picked up "Casual Sex?" from that bin, and for $5.50 I got some cool special features on the DVD as well:
-10 minutes of deleted scenes -The original ending -The theatrical trailer
Pretty impressive, huh?

Yes, impressive. Lots of extras, considering that it's only $5.50!
Usually, most DVDs that sell for that kind of low price have little or no extras at all. Well, maybe the theatrical trailer, but nothing else.

Casual Sex? is a great movie. I tend to think across the board that the concept of the deleted scene is not necessary for all the movies that come out on DVD. Behind the Scenes, sure. A documentary here or there, ok. Not every deleted scene needs to make the DVD.

Heh heh, you folks ever watch deleted scenes on a DVD, and you sit through ten minutes of an "extended scene" and the only thing that changed is at the end they have an extra shot of a palm tree or something? (cough)Pirates of the Caribbean DVD(cough)

I liked The Lost Boys DVD that came out last August with all the extras.
They had some decent deleted scenes and lotsa commentary. I could have lived without listening to Corey Feldman go on and on about how great he is , but seeing the other Frogg brother was pretty cool.

Yeah, I liked the deleted scenes on the Lost Boys special edition DVD, especially the one where the mother vists Max's house and the beach where some teens splash Sam while he's trying to read a comic book.

Wal-Mart has some movies cheap that I have seen in other plces for 9 to 12 dollars. I just bought Bridges of Madison Country and Starman for 5.50.
I want to buy Love Potion No.9 for the same price.

Deleted scenes only work if they have director introductions as to explain the scene and why it isn't in. And even then, only if the director isn't dry as sand. I'm way more for commentaries... I love commentaries.

Starman! I loved that movie. They made a series out of it too.
Yeah I like commentaries too. It's cool to know what was going on behind the scenes while they were filming a movies, especially when you get to hear it from the actors or the directors.

Wal-Mart also has St. Elmo's Fire, Weekend at Bernie's and Less Than Zero in the $5.50 bin. Also, if you browse inside their electronics department, you can usually find more movies from the 80s and 90s for around $5.00-$8.00 or so. I recently picked up Poltergeist for $5.00
