ok ive had this argument many times with friends, they say Sir Didymus is a dog, riding a dog, I say hes a fox riding a dog. Any help?

Well, he was kind of orange-y and he had a bushy tail so I assumed he was a fox . . . O.o

Sir Didymus was a fox. Ludo was a.... wasn't he an orang-utan or something? Certainly he had the arms, the red fur, and the prehensile grip.

A minotaur is a half-man, half-bull creature from Greek mythology that also lives in a labyrinth. Ludo's horns look somewhat minotaur-like.

OK - to settle......
So we have a fox... with rather more whiskers than is normal.... and an orang-utan..... complete with prehensile grip, Muffy..... who also (no doubt due to the proximity of Jennifer Connolly) has a horn.....

Her latest effort, "Dark Water" is sort of fun, but the real horror is not the ghost upstairs, but rather the apartment she rents on Roosevelt Island.

I love this post! But I must admit... it's making me a little sad.
You see... around the end of May, I let this girl in my Film Studies class borrow my copy of "Labyrinth." I didn't know her well, but she seemed so happy when she saw that I had brought the movie in to watch. She said she hadn't seen it since she was a little girl, so I sympathized for her. I know if I didn't own the movie and someone I knew had it in their possession, I'd want to borrow it. So that's what I did... I let her borrow it. And I haven't seen it since.
She told me she'd bring it back to me the next day. Well she didn't. And there was another problem. School was almost over... there was only two days left, and I wasn't sure if I'd get it back. She didn't come to school the next day, so I hunted her down on the last day and she said she'd call her mom and ask her to bring it to school for me. Her mom never showed. I gave her my number to call me so she could bring it by my house anytime. She didn't even call.
This movie is a big part of my life. I have so many memories tied into it and it kills me to think that someone else has it. She didn't even have the decency to apologize for not bringing it to me when she said she would... or give it back! I don't want to go out and buy another one. It just wouldn't be the same.
Anyways... I thought Sir Didymus was a hyper but cute dog, and Ludo was just a loveable monster.

I love this film, I can remember going to my auties when I was little and watching it, and every time I went there I had to watch it. She must of got so tired of watching it

As for Sir Didymus I would say he is a dog. He is definitely more dog that anything else.

Seeing the rotting corpse of Hoggle is seriously disturbing me. I thought he'd live forever! He wasn't the prettiest of the "Labyrinth" crew (we all know Jareth was), but I still love him!
And it's sad to think that no one wanted him... because somehow he ended up in a very small case next to a fake hand in the Unclaimed Baggage Center. He should be spending the rest of his days in a very nice display case in an establishment that actually takes pride in the collections they have obtained, instead of a place that titles their business as a “thrift business.” I would've taken him! He would've been an awesome conversational piece... if I would be nice enough to let family and friends actually see him.

I agree. I would have given Hoggle a nice, temperature-controlled home on my upstairs landing. And preserved him a lot better if it was possible.
I'd really love to find one of the urRu from The Dark Crystal. I'd wire him for sound so that he could intone at great conjunctions, lunar eclipses, etc.
