I think that is the correct name. It was a kung fu type fighting movie that was kind of what got Jean Claude Van Damme first recognized. I don't think he had any or much of a speaking part in it and boy did he look young.

Does anyone else remember this film? I can remember seeing it on HBO or SHOWTIME or some where like that and thinking how hot that guy was. I figured he was like Ivan Drago and didn't speak because he couldn't speak any English. Little did I know at the time that Dolph could speak really good English.

I totally remember this film. I saw it when I was younger. I did like it when I saw it, but there were so many flaws in it. One scene is where the main kid (i don't know his name) goes up to his friends wooden fence in the middle of the night. He knocks on the fence saying something like "R.J. Wake up" Then R.J. immediatly sticks his head over the fence and says something like "what's up?" Does R.J. sleep outside in his back yard by the fence?

This isn't a flaw, just a quote I remember. I remember the dad saying "It'll be your house, when you start paying the rent. Okay??"

I bought this movie and watched it with the guys at work last week. I've always loved this movie. It is soooo cheesy. The acting sucks so much that it is almost a comedy. It has karate, Bruce Lee and breakdancing! Jean-Claude did look very young in this one.
I thought that fat kid in it was hillarious. "Just what we need...another Bruce Lee freak. There goes the neighborhood."
I also liked the disco/breakdancing scene where R.J. was dressed up like Michael Jackson and was busting some cool moves on the dance floor.

Devolution here,

Let us not forget when Bruce Lee comes to visit him in a dream, and someone rips the treasured Bruce Lee poster! A good movie to watch at 13, I don't think it carries that well now.

We are DEVO

This is one of those cheesy kind of movies that comes on tv now and then, and even though i try to listen to my best advice and turn off the tv and go to bed, I find myself staying up to watch it. Makes no sense.

Guilty pleasure of mine too. ALOT of nostalgia factor for me. Me, my brothers, and my friend would continually watch this as kids. When it was over, we would beat the crap out of eachother because we thought we were karate experts.

It's the reverse Karate Kid... bad acting, bad story but excellent fight choreo!
