I have been reading some biographys of famous actors of the 80s but who where not playing the leads. I have been amazed at some of their off screen backgrounds/information. So I thought I’d post the links for the ones I have found most interesting, first of all, thought…… we might play a game of guess who? So give it ago before clicking the link, I have removed some of the more obvious information, just a couple of his biggest films which I’m sure we have ALL seen.
Height 6' 1" (1.85 m)
Muscular, shaven headed actor of Algonquin Indian descent who specialised in tough, villainous roles throughout US cinema of the 1970s and 1980s. had served time in the US Armed Forces seeing action in Korea as a paratrooper and earning both a Silver Star and a Purple Heart, and in addition was an accomplished motorcyle rider and circus stunt performer. His movie breakthrough came at the age of 33, in the low budget 'Tom Laughlin' biker movie _Born Losers (1967)_ . With his menacing looks, was never short of onscreen work, often turning up in several movies a year playing gang leaders, bikers & other murderous thugs.
Alternately, was equally busy on television appearing in shows including Starsky & Hutch, Magnum PI, The Fall Guy & The A-Team. Undoubtedly, 's most well remembered role was that of grinning, head butting streetfighter
He passed away from cancer at age 56 in October, 1990.
Hey this is very interesting. I have never heard of this guy? There aren't any pictures available of him so I can tell if I recognize him from something. I looked over his career and nothing really stood out.
Give us another one....

Here are some photos of the man himself - . Robert Tessier. I don’t think the likeness is that good in some of the photos but hopefully you will recognize him. He is very distinctive looking. I guess I know him best from the films The Longest Yard (The Mean Machine) Cannon Ball Run and The Deep.
I know these films are not all in the 80s but he did do a huge amount of TV work in the 80s as you can see on www.imdb.com
If the links don’t work, use google images.

Well Jessie, these where the most intresting ones I have found so far. I'll keep looking though, one thing suprising me when reading the Bio's is how many US actors have served time in your Army or Navy..its seem a lot of them.
