I read this the other day inn an entertainment mag. Apparently there is gonna be a 2nd sequel to FLETCH,but it wont star Chevy Chase . Tipped for the lead role in ''FLETCH WON'' is Zach Braff from Scrubs.(think thats his name!!). Personally i dont think it'll work without Chevy.And i dont know why they still cant use him in his own role,i mean yeah..so he's older now,but its been over 10 years since Fletch Lives,so its understandable that Fletch would look older now too. Casting someone else (no matter how good) in a role that was pure Chevy,is like casting Ralph Finnes as John Steed in the Avengers movie..... PANTS!!!

Let me set some things straight.
1) It's not a sequel to Fletch or Fletch Lives. If anything, it's a prequel ... but it's not a prequel, either.
2) It's not based on the Chevy Chase movies, it's based on the book, and it's going to be true to the book (to which the Chevy movies never were). The books are more about Fletch's lying and photographic memory, rather than Chevy Chase's shtick.
3) Jason Lee was originally tapped to play Fletch, but the studios wouldn't let Kevin Smith do it.

Thats interesting dude,'cos the movie mag i read just said it was going to simply be a sequel,yet still try and recapture the 'magic' of the 1st two movies just without Chevy!! Guess we shall have to wait and see now!

Maybe he'll make a cameo. The FLETCH movies are great. Too bad Chevy isn't making one himself.
