Hey guys i just read from the digital bits that the karate kid is getting a special edition dvd of the first movie in june on the 7th I will definitly be getting it. glad i didn't buy the boxset i only like the 1 and 2 karate kid films [Smile] so this is good news to me [Smile]

That's cool. It annoys me when I purchase a DVD and a better version comes out shortly after I bought the original.

aww I didnt get to buy the orgianl b/c by the time i got my dvd player i couldn't find it anywhere .. but now I will get my chance

I just looked at the specs for PART I on the boxset page on amazon. There seem to be a bunch of extras (well maybe not a bunch, but several).

Perhaps this SE is just what is included in the boxset?

Like when they release a trilogy and later release single disc versions. Like with the GODFATHER?

AMAZON doesn't have any specs for the SE, so who knows...

Part II is also being released individually on the same day as part I.

I'm going to give SONY the benefit of the doubt and day these individual releases are just the same as what's included in the recently released boxset.

Part II in the boxset only has 1 extra, a featurette. This individual release is probably going to be the same, so dont' expect much.

Well this is a definite must have!!!! [Big Grin] It is true the only good KK movies are 1 and 2! The other ones don't really count... lol Well I know I am going out and getting it! [Smile]
