The "Father Of The Bride" thread in 90's Movies reminded me of this. Steve Martin and Lilly Tomlin were great in this movie, which I think is Martin's finest moment on film. The scene where he is fighting for control of his body with Edwina is an absolute riot. Pure physical comedy and done so well that you'll think he and Edwina are truly waging war. I also liked the scene where Victoria Tennant is throwing herself at Martin and he has to talk Edwina into going along with it. (Victoria's choice of undergarment was interesting also, but that's just my opinion. My. Sweaty. Opinion.)

Steve in his early years was gloriously out of control in his films, and this is one of the prime examples. You relally believe he's lost control of his bodily functions at times. No one else could have pulled it off as convicncingly.

Robin Williams might have been able to do it, but Martin isn't quite as manic.

Watched All of Me (1984) yesterday.
Includes some funny scenes and jokes but not the best Steve Martin flick.

this movie is a good comic performance from Martin...but I've never really been much of a fan of Lily Tomlin...so I never could get into this movie when I try to watch it.

Devolution here,
All I think about when I see that movie is "Put Edwina back in bowl". The movie is a 7 at best.
