This is not on DVD yet. Grrrr. In America it's HEAVEN HELP US. In England it's CATHOLIC BOYS. It stars Andrew MCarthy, Mary Staurt Masterson, Kevin Dillon, Stephen Geoffreys, and Patrick Dempsey. A few of our favorites. Its about an all boy Catholic school in Brooklyn in the '60s. Like always the adults and teachers want the kids to be all work and no play and the kids just wanna have fun and try to get nookie. I loved this movie and thought it was very funny (when the priests WEREN'T beatin the kids up, that is) Kevin Dillon steals it as Rooney. he's very funny. And so is Stephen EVIL ED/ WENDFALL Geoffreys as a horny kid who can barely keep himself from playing with himself. Andrew McCarthy is the straight man and Patrick dempsey barely says a peep. its a good 80s film that i would recommend to anyone whose never seen it yet.

I just watched Catholic Boys aka Heaven Help Us (1985)
Iīve seen it once before in the 80s and hardly remembered anything. Itīs a great flick with a great cast.
mamamia already mentioned some of the actors but i have add that Malcolm Danare (Flashdance, Christine) is great as "Caesar". The brothers Donald Sutherland, John Heard and Jay Patterson are also good.
In these days itīs available almost everywhere on dvd, so go get it! Me? I have this good old VHS tape

I love it. The whole cast were great (special props to Mary Stuart Masterson). There were a bunch of movies like this in the 80's that don't get mentioned much now.
Another one this always reminds me of is the Kiefer Sutherland movie 'The Bay Boy', which nobody in the universe - but me and a girl I went to school with when I was ten - has ever seen.

I remember seeing it at the Kam Drive-In as a kid. I loved it then and I still love it now.

I had never even heard of the Heaven Help Us title before. I think it was released as Catholic Boys practically everywhere outside of the US. I rented it on video somewhere in the late 80s, but can hardly remember anything of it.
I think i'm gonna get myself the UK dvd from Optimum.

Watched this again recently. Still holds up as a well made movie.
