I just finished watching "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" (1988) on Showtime. I must say this movie makes me laugh out loud when I watch it. Don't get me wrong, those Killer Klowns are scary cool and there are parts of the movie that gives me the creeps (for instance when the clown is motioning to the little girl to come out and play), but overall it's a laugh.

This movie must be a cult classic by now. It is up there in my book for goofy horror movies. The tone of the movie was excellent. It was so neat to see actors like Grant Kramer (Hardbodies), Suzanne Synder(Weird Science) & John Vernon (Animal House)in different roles.

Oh I forgot to mention the music, from the theme song to the score it fit the movie.

It looks like you had a fun day at the Circus on your Vacation!!

[Cool] [Big Grin] [Wink]

Oh man, I just flashed back to art class in high school...I made a crazy clown puppet thing out of paper mache that looked just like that thing... wow, I had totally forgotten all about him, he was just as scary looking too.

Isn't that where a perv clown puts his hand on a guy's crotch and says "Are you the male....or female of your species?" with a horny grin? [Smile]

I like to think of this movie as 'Scotty Palmer at the Circus'.

Is Scotty Palmer in this movie?

Valley-if you like it...then there is a good chance I will too....I am trying to remember if you ever steered me in the wrong direction ever...let me know what night your watching it, and I'll try and watch it too.

Ha...this movie is no day at the beach Isis, but if you like campy horror then you might enjoy it. Grant Kramer is great in this movie.

He was in New Year's Evil too. I wonder what he's up to these days...anyone know?

Wow, I just looked it up, and John Vernon is in it...and he was just in Curtains...funny how it seems like once you see someone in something...they pop up in other things too.

Funny you mention Curtains....I just watched that. I expected more. Not bad though.

Great clip morning-we like the part with the little clown and his trike [Smile] Will probably get the quote wrong-but when the ice cream truck guys take the girls to "park" and one of them says "Keep your shirt on!" and the girl replies "Don't worry, we intend to!" So funny and such a great movie. Did feel bad for Pooh Bear the dog and his owner though [Frown] This is Mooney's town!

This movie was way too scary the first time around. I don't think I can do it a second time.

Posted by Bamersy (Member # 8808) on :

It's not a good movie if you're scared of clowns-nowhere near as scary as Pennywise though!

You are very brave, Bamersy. I'm a weenie when it comes to scary movies. I watched April Fools Day at the beginning of the month, and even though I knew what was gonna happen, I still had to cover my eyes!

One of my best friends and I used to have a standing Fri night date where we'd rent/see a horror movie. Certain ones I can't watch though-like movies about possession/exorcism, and ones where people move in unnatural ways-totally freaks me out!
