Hello 80s Fans, It seem they are releasing yet another edition of Stand By Me (Delux Edition) on March 22 2005 (Region 1). First was the bare bones DVD, then the Special Edition DVD, and now the DELUXE EDITION. Hopefully it will filled with goodies. More info at Stand By Me (Deluxe Edition) Eric

The Deluxe Edition is nothing more than the Special Edition with a soundtrack sampler. No new extras...Sorry!
Sincerely,
John Kilduff...The Rock Steady Flamethrower
And we still can't get "The Legend Of Billie Jean", "Lovelines", "Neighbors" or anamorphic widescreen versions of "Annie" and "Perfect" on DVD.

Hmm, there's an isolated score on the Special Edition already. Is this the same as "soundtrack sampling"?

anyone know if the special features on the normal dvd are any good?????

Fairytale, there about as good as you could do. Interviews with Wheaton, O'Connell, King, Reiner, and Feldman. An audio commentary, albeit a poor one (Reinger is the worst at them) with Reiner only, and the music video. Plus an isolated score of both the pop songs and orchestral stuff.

i read about the deluxe edition, and i can't understand why this was released. nothing big has been added to it, from the special edition, that i could tell.
