Okay for some reason I always forget about Richard Pryor. This story would be what we know today at the real "Reality series". A man has to spent 30 million dollars in 30 days so that he can inherit something like 100 million. Oh yeah here is the catch, he can't tell a sole. This totally reminds me of the $25 Million Dollar Hoax. Anyway I thought that the movie was cute and had a funny supporting role by the late John Candy.
I remember when this movie came out and not having any clue the concept of 30 million dollars, really any dollars other than those you got in a birthday card. A very funny portrayal of the direction that our society has definately headed into in the 90s and today. What do you all like best or least about this comedy from 1985?

It was a novel idea, even when considering the concept had been done a couple times before in the prior (no offense) decades. The problem is, it just seems to drag a bit at times, so much so that it pulls down the good moments. My favorite part's the whole part where Prior's watching the will-filmstrip and the guy somehow manages to keep reading his thoughts. He does reasonably well, but he always did his best film work alongside Gene Wilder, who might have been the best choice for his second banana. Of course, if you can't have Wilder, John Candy is always the best bet to go with, and as was the case many times over his career, his prescence singlehandedly makes the film at least 10 times better than it would have been without him.

I always like Brewster's Millions. That's probably because I always liked Prior. But not as much as I liked Moving though.

This is a cute movie with a neat idea to spend 30 million in 30 days to inherit 300 million. Apparently they never saw Isis's ebay account or they would have realized that was easy.
I took Monty's advice though and invested in Icebergs, but he forgot to tell me to sell mine in time and I lost my cassh & froze my tassh on my new floating homes.
This movie is kinda of a remake of a movie with the same title from 1921, then 1935, then 1945. The 1945 on is the best, it's about a soldier that returns from WWII and he inherts 8 million dollars, but to keep it has to spend 1 million before his 30th birthday. Wow, with inflation I guess it would be 1 billion dollars to spend if they make the movie today.
