I was flipping through some music magazines today when I came across a music mag called Filter with Michael Stipe on the cover. I flipped through it expecting mostly music articles when I came upon an article on Top Secret. Very good article, including some commentary and explanations of the filming and insight into the wacky humour and gags.

I got the biggest kick out of this movie. I have it on DVD--best buy, ya know?? Any favorite scenes?? I like the restaurant sing and dance scene where the men are twirling dolls that look like the girls....and of course the train station rolling away from the train...

Some of the studio scenes were recorded near where I live (the theater they used is now a multiplex). My brother was working there at the time as security, and saw loads of stuff being filmed. One he recalls is the scene with the German High Command, and the big phone rings...

I love the scene with Peter 'Grand Moff' Cushing.

TS is a great movie. I always love movies that spoof other films. Airplane and Hot Shots were good too. I think that Val Kilmer is at his best doing comedy over drama.
